First stop on the Panama Canal cruise: Colon, Panama. It was a pretty quiet place mostly consisting of the cruise port, rainforest, and the northern locks of the Panama Canal. Going through the Panama Canal has been high on my bucket travel list for a long time. Part of the Canal tour was the showing of a documenary on how the canal was built. The history of the Panama Canal is very interesting and worh researching. This was a great preview considering the ship would travel though the canal the following day.
